A community puesto is a small, unrefrigerated food pantry, similar in size and concept to a lending library. The puesto serves as an accessible neighborhood spot for drop off and pick up of non perishable food donations. Please click around to find puesto locations, donation tips, and other resources.
The goal of this project is to increase food access to Austinites while highlighting the talents of local artists. Community, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness are at the heart of this project. With that in mind, I have also included the narrative and budget on this website so that it may be replicated in more communities in and beyond Austin.
